I love how they call him a former university teacher in the article.

Defection to ACN: Olunloyo replies Alao-Akala
Olunloyo spoke yesterday evening in a statement he issued in response to Alao-Akala's comment against him, where he had described his defection to the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as that of a person who lacks “electoral value”.
Alao-Akala had addressed journalists in his Ogbomoso residence on Tuesday, saying that Olunloyo, as well others like him, who defected were “political jobbers and parasites”.
Olunloyo fired his salvo back at his successor, saying, "Alao-Akala should be ignored. He is the greatest liability of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state. I don’t know how a man like Alao-Akala can begin to talk of pedigree. Nigeria is unfortunate to have such goldsmith in position of great social, political and intellectual import.
“Ordinarily, on no platform should Alao-Akala and I be in the same party. He is the greatest liability to the PDP and, by now, he must have learnt that wisdom is more important than money. He spent a 100 times more on the election he lost in 2011 than on the one he was alleged to have won in 2007”.
Claiming that over the last 50 years, he had made sterling and memorable contributions to the progress of the state, Olunloyo explained that he had his reasons for joining the Action Congress of Nigeria.
He added: “Let Alao-Akala shut up and stop talking pontifically about PDP since he was not a foundation member of the party in the state. The cowboy goldsmith image is not what Oyo State deserves at any time. The post he (Alao-Akala) occupied was several miles above his qualifications and character. He is virtually everything a governor should never be”.
Boasting that he had large number of followers throughout the state, who believed and trusted him, the former University teacher challenged Alao-Akala, saying: “We shall meet on the political turf when he decides to consummate his rumoured senatorial ambition"
