The WORST AUTISM STORY in the world: What one single mother went through!

Update: I celebrated my 22nd birthday yesterday--Eni 2/17/09 Olukemi Olunloyo Need to hear comments from my attorneys on their experience representing me? Baltimore: Taiwo Agbaje-443-857-9820-cell 410-4646197 Offc Atlanta: Ramon Palanca-800-975-7325-offc Cory, America has to hear this one. I took my autistic son and his siblings away from the United States and moved to Nigeria, then finally settled in Canada. We left in 2006. What I did was protect my children from their own government.I have been too embarased to speak until now. Thank you CNN for what you have done on this awareness. Autism destroyed my family completely. I told my story to a person called BILL in the newsroom. They will get the message to you. We want to talk now! We want to be on CNN.com or CNN-TV. We want our story heard to prevent others from suffering but most importantly, we want to share our SUCCESS STORY in Canada. CANADA has helped us!!! * I am a Single mother of 3 boys, 21,16,7. I was a successful Pharmacist (20yrs) and Journalist (12yrs) * My 21 year old is autistic,
now Aspergers syndrome diagnosis (now extremely high functioning) * Was mute till 12 years old. Normal development and baby talk till 2 and half years old, got MMR vaccine and never talked again. * Became extremely violent at 5 years old. Hurts me (mother) bites and also destroys property. Muteness frustrated him. * At 12, violence got worse as he bit his 8 year old brother and I many times. Baltimore Co police did their best (100 911 calls
in 7 years....I have the printout) but Balto Co social svcs did not
care. This printout tells you the system did not do enough. They took
away my 8 year old and gave custody to his 8 year absent dad. Now 16+,
I have not seen him since 2001. I do talk to him and we e-mail each
other and the boys all talk but spent more than $80,000 on these legal
cases in 10 years, I can't afford to even go back to court to get my
rightful visitation. I have no money. * Baltimore County
took custody of my autistic son 5 times and kept putting him in different homes where he was abused, frustrated and more. * In
1999, I got custody of him back and left the country to take him home
to my parents in Nigeria. With a stopover in London, he was taking a
shower in the hotel when the glass door broke. It sliced his hand off
and was severed. The severed hand was reattached in emergency plastic
surgery and the British Press interviewed me because of the ongoing
awareness of hotel safety under investigation at the time. I couldn't
sue because the hotel cleaned up the evidence and their legal laws were
different. * I HAD TO return to the USA immediately as the hand
would need severe rehabilitation which Nigeria could not provide.
Things got worse and worse. He would hit me with the cast, what was
causing all this violence, we had no idea? * We finally moved from Baltimore to go south for a better life in 2003. He got worse and Newton
County Police did not even know what autism was? * Dec
2003, Newton Co DFACS (Social services) took away my 3 year old son
claiming to protect him from the autistic boy. Later they removed my
autistic son and took him to Laurel Heights hospital in Atlanta where
he was later abused and bruised on the face while being restrained. I * Back to Newton Co, the 3
year old who they took away was still in foster care. He lived in 3
foster homes with the 3rd being the home of a 3 time convicted felon
who even took my baby shopping and shoplifting! More stress on me. * To
get him back, I needed to attend counseling see a psychiatrist etc. I
completed the case plan and they still did not give me my child back.
They said I self medicated him with asthma meds which is not true. The
Baltimore Dr prescribed his meds before we moved. * Coincidentally,
the same week I filled a prescription for the Judge's kid for the same
drug and asked her to be recused because of conflict of interest. * My best friend organized my 5
bedroom brand new house of 2003 which my children hardly lived in to be
packed into a shipping container to Nigeria. It's now 2006. One of the
Governors in Nigeria (a family friend) paid the $18,000 shipping fees
and I left the USA! When I arrived in Nigeria, I had a nervous
breakdown and was hospitalized for 3 months in a psychiatric hospital.
You don't wanna know how that feels in an African Psych hospital! * We
moved to Canada in June 2007 as we needed more resources for Eni. The
diet in Nigeria changed and he was thus calmer. What Jenny McCarthy
said is true about the DIET part though we are back to the sugar land
in North America. He doesn't eat a lot of those things anymore. * Today, I have a success story!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Eni is now 21. He was put in a vocational school
  • * * JVS Toronto
  • * * by the Canadian Government, he graduated, attended the
  • * * Geneva Center for Autism for resources
  • Then the
  • * * Hawkins Institute
  • * * for Job training. They help high functioning Aspergers patients transition to normal life. * Today, Enitan works at
  • * * Cineplex movie theaters
  • * * at Yorkdale mall where is a movie theater associate. He checks your
ticket, cleans your left behind popcorn, stuffs tissue in the bathrooms
every 30 minutes during bathroom checks and puts the reels of your
latest movies in the projector and turns off the lights so you can
enjoy the movies. He was with a job coach for only 2 days and he is
alone now. I will send you an e-mail from the Hawkins institute on his
progress. He is a GOOD employee. * He
lives in a one bedroom apartment provided by the Canadian Mental Health
Association in a building monitored 24 hours by a site counselor. The
residents are all disabled adults. Posh fully furnished and he
receives disability income from the government in addition to his job.
He pays his own cable and phone bill at the bank monthly, he cleans his
place and cooks his meals in his beautiful kitchen and he goes to the
library everyday to check his MySpace and Facebook accounts which have
greatly helped him. * That is an entirely different story I want CNN viewers to see. Autistic people have no social skills???? Social networking can HELP! * Check
out www.myspace.com/canadaeni and see what an autistic adult has typed
in by himself. Also search him on Facebook under Enitan Olunloyo * THAT IS MY STORY!! * Attached are some graphic photos of bites on my hand 2-4 years ago. * A
video interview of Eni talking about social networking with his old
high school friends is coming in an hour via i-reports. On his MySpace,
notice that all his friends are females. He has only one male friend.
He cannot seem to make friends with males anywhere. Autistic people
sometimes can't break out of a certain shell. That's his shell. They
used to call him "retarded and his mom was locked up" during our stint
in Covington Georgia. * Cory, get my story or portions of it on CNN.COM if
anything. I did not know about this World awareness day in time even though I had been following all your programming. * The
VACCINE RUINED MY SON! I DON"T BELIEVE THE US GOVT! I have no reason
to....... I will protect my sons from their own government forever if I
have to! * Eni is mildly mentally retarded and used to be
called Profoundly severely mentally retarded, then moderately mentally
retarded, now mild! There is nothing GOD cannot do. My spiritualism is
important! Jenny was asked by Larry "what happens to these kids when
they grow up?" She replied....."I don't know?" She needs to be prepared
for this. Job placement, financial stuff etc.

Zurama girl, I'm pulling thru! Eni broke 3 doors. 2 Front doors and a bedroom door cracked off the hinges. The front doors cost $2000 each! Insurance paid for one and not the other in 2 separate homes. Learn from my story. We all have to be advocates. What will happen when your child turns 21. Look forward to the future. Did you see Jenny McCarthy tonight with Larry King? She was absolutely fantastically intelligent! The Playmate mentality I had of her is GONE. She is no Bimbo! See the story on my media blog at www.Keminications.com

If I wasn't living with my son's autism I would probably not be able to believe it.
My son is now 10 and his aggression is almost gone, but when he was five years old and the digestive disturbances started to cause him inflammation and severe pain, he once kicked  my mother's kitchen door off the hinches and he only waited 40 pounds then.
How you were able to survive this is a miracle in itself. Bless your heart! I hope CNN lets you tell your story!

Linda, you have to do what's best for you. I left the country because I had my own country, Then Toronto. Canadians have been good to us. For one this place has free health care and we never have to pay for anything at the Doctor and Pharmacy. Things are on the average $2 more but the crime is significantly LOW. With my son on his own now, I am really resting and LIVING! Don't worry, I shall keep you in my prayers! See how my son had my entire hand in his mouth? I screamed with bloody tears that night and there was nobody to help. I had to smash a plate on the table on the carpet to distract him and separate from him. He is 6ft 4 and over 200 pounds too. Stay strong and feel free to e-mail me anytime at mediakemi@rogers.com. GOD BLESS CANADA!

I'm a single Aspie Mom in Colorado of a 12 yr old Aspie son. We've been thru the court system too. My son broke my neck in 2004 in 2 places. I was a teacher then. Law= lost my license and got charged with child abuse, harrassment, and assault. I yelled at him to let me go when my son had his hands around my neck, yes I hit him to get his hands off my neck. He's 212 lbs and I'm 108 lbs. He had a melt down and...
