  • Recently, when kemi Omololu-olunloyo’s made her now infamous comment that Odumegwu Ojukwu should rot in hell, Carol Jiani cautioned Kemi to desist from such inflammatory comments, and Kemi replied in abusive way, calling her names and insinuating that Carol had an affair with the late Ojukwu – who happened to be Carol’s late father’s friend.
  • In this EXCLUSIVE interview with Nollywoodgossip’s Nollywood Gist With Evia, Carol addresses the allegations made against her by kemi Omololu-olunloyo.
How do you feel about Ojukwu’s death?
When I heard about the death of Odumegwu Ojukwu I was sad, because I remembered him as a friend of my late dad. They say that love is the principle thing. I was expressing my thoughts and paying tribute to a man that was not only a husband but a father also. To me every death reminds me of another death… another loss.  This reminded me of the loss of my parents six months apart. I was paying tribute to a great leader.
How do you feel about kemi Omololu-olunloyo’s comment that Ojukwu should rot in hell?
What concerned me was that kemi Omololu-olunloyo was not setting a good example by posting that she was glad and wanted the man to rot in hell. How could a woman that wants to run for the Presidency in 2015 set that sort of example? Is she not teaching our youths to hate? Is she not teaching people how not to tolerate and respect each other and especially in death?
The woman says that she hates the Igbos, why? This is not responsible at all, we all as human beings have fought for justice in this world, so every kind of hate is bad. For her to say that there is a NEW BIAFRAN WAR is totally irresponsible. What kind of woman claims that she is fighting for justice in Toronto Canada and yet makes a public statement like Ojukwu should rot in hell? Remember “LOVE IS THE PRINCIPLE THING”.
Kemi Omololu-olunloyo made some allegations against you, please kindly respond to them.
The allegations are totally false. To say that I had an affair and slept with Ojukwu is false. I have had no contact whatsoever with Ojukwu. I only know Ojukwu because he was a friend of my dad from that generation and the history of the War.
It was totally a stupid statement and a lack of respect for the family of Ojukwus.
What do you think inspires Kemi Omololu-olunloyo’s outbursts and statements?
I am not sure what the woman’s problem is. Something is seriously wrong if she has that much hate for the Igbos, because this is really what she has a problem with. A woman like this should never get into power because we want a better and peaceful Nigeria.
What sort of future will the younger generation have with a woman that has so much hate in her heart? She must change her thinking and find peace with herself. She is not going to be responsible in power. This woman must set an example and not use such hateful words or speak in the manner that she has been speaking.
This is not a lady or a mother that is setting the standard. How can she say that she is running for presidency in 2015? We have enough people that hate in the world we do not need another person in power who hates period!
Do you have any message for Nigerians?
I am telling the citizens of our country that I am for peace and my priority is for a better Nigeria. I started a campaign for the homeless and safer roads in Nigeria. As an established recording artist I have so many young people reaching out to me for help to secure a better future. Music is a powerful tool. I am using that to reach out to the young, to keep them off the streets and away from crime.
Our country is worthy, we are all worthy, we are all God’s children. We all deserve the very best. I want the world to see a better Nigeria, not all the negative things coming out. I do not like distractions; I am on a mission for a better Nigeria period. I SIMPLY HAVE TOO MUCH LOVE IN ME …A PEACEFUL AND BETTER NIGERIA.
